The Addison Pool Challenge: Beating the Heat and Debris
Addison's vibrant community and hot Texas summers present unique challenges for pool owners. The intense heat can accelerate algae growth and demand precise water chemistry management, while sudden storms often fill pools with leaves and debris. Many homeowners struggle with cloudy water, unbalanced chemicals, or unexpected equipment breakdowns, which can quickly turn a backyard dream into a maintenance nightmare. This local pain point often leads to frustration and wasted time, preventing families from fully enjoying their pools. If you are tired of battling green water or spending weekends on backyard pool upkeep, then Puddle Pool Services has your solution. We specialize in proactive pool care that addresses these specific Addison environmental factors head-on. Our comprehensive service plans are designed to prevent common issues before they arise, saving you time and money in the long run. Our Comprehensive Weekly Maintenance Program
Our weekly maintenance service is the cornerstone of our Addison residential pool services, offering a complete care package for your pool. We go beyond basic cleaning to provide a thorough inspection and treatment tailored to your pool's specific needs. Each visit by your dedicated private pool technician ensures every aspect of your pool is meticulously cared for, from water quality to equipment functionality. This proactive approach helps prevent major issues and extends the life of your pool system.
- Water Chemistry Balancing: We test and adjust pH levels, alkalinity, calcium hardness, and chlorine to optimal ranges. Proper water chemistry is crucial for swimmer comfort, equipment longevity, and preventing algae.
- Skimming and Brushing: All surface debris is removed, and the pool walls, steps and tiles are brushed to prevent algae and calcium buildup. This keeps your pool sparkling clean.
- Vacuuming: We thoroughly vacuum the pool floor to remove dirt, leaves and other sediment. A clean bottom is essential for a truly pristine swimming environment.
- Filter Backwashing/Cleaning: Depending on your filter type (sand, cartridge, or DE), we backwash or clean it as needed. Efficient filtration is key to clear water and removing microscopic particles.
- Equipment Inspection: Our technicians visually inspect your pump, heater, cleaner and other equipment for proper operation. Early detection of issues, like unusual pump diagnostics readings, can prevent costly repairs.
- Empty Baskets: Skimmer and pump baskets are emptied to ensure proper water flow and filtration efficiency. This also prevents strain on your pump.

Addison Residential Pool Services: Frequently Asked Questions
What pool code does Addison use?
The Town of Addison adopts the 2018 International Swimming Pool and Spa Code as the Swimming Pool and Spa Code of the Town of Addison, covering all pools and spas in town. The Town adds its own amendments. A pool permit lapses if work does not start within 180 days of issue. Confirm current requirements with Addison's building inspection staff before a project starts.
How close to the property line can a pool be in Addison?
Addison's Unified Development Code allows a swimming pool in setback areas as long as it is at least 5 feet from any property line and not in the front yard. The pool also has to meet the most recently adopted Building Code. Confirm the layout with the Town before you dig.
When should I open and close my pool in Addison?
NOAA 1991 to 2020 normals for Richardson, just east of Addison, put the median last spring freeze on March 7 and the median first fall freeze on November 21. Average highs are 82.6 F or higher from May through September. Many owners plan opening after the spring freeze risk passes and winter protection before late November.
Do you offer one time deep cleans as well as regular service?
Yes. There are options for routine service and for deep cleans, so you can get a neglected pool back on track or keep a healthy one that way.
Can service continue year round?
Yes. Service can run through the whole year, adjusted to the season, so the pool stays protected even when it is not being used much.
A breath of fresh air in this industry that is the same wherever you turn. After experiencing poor service and dirty pools with multiple pool service companies, we have found a gem. We have a number of luxury rental homes and we elect to maintain the pools rather than leave it to tenants. These guys are prompt, communicative and best of all let me know when there is a potential issue and are proactive in resolving it early.
Puddle Pool Services has been taking care of our pool in West Plano for several months now and we couldn't be more satisfied. Sam and Jason are always on time, professional and thorough. Chemical balancing, equipment checks, skimming, everything is handled every single week. Reliable pool service in West Plano is hard to find. these guys deliver every time!
Great service! The pool cleaner arrived on time and did a quick and efficient job. The pool looked much cleaner afterward. Professional and easy to work with. Highly recommended!
We manage rental properties in University Park and Highland Park and have been using Puddle Pool Services for our pool maintenance. Sam and Jason are always reliable, professional, and communicate proactively about any issues with the pool. As a property manager, having a pool service company I can trust without micromanaging is invaluable. Our tenants are happy and the pools are always in great condition. Highly recommend Puddle Pool Services to any property manager or landlord in University Park and Highland Park!'
We moved to University Park about a year ago, and during that time we tried two different pool companies. Unfortunately both of them were pretty inconsistent and sometimes completely MIA, which was frustrating. Since switching to Puddle Pool Services, things have been totally different. They are consistent, communicate well, and always show up when they say they will. They’ve been taking great care of both our pool and water features, and everything has been running perfectly. If you live in University Park and need reliable pool service, I definitely recommend Puddle Pool Services.
Our longtime pool company in Preston Hollow retired after 10 years and recommended Puddle Pool Services. We’ve been using them for about three months now and they’ve been great. They are reliable, communicate well, and keep our pool and water features in excellent shape.

Sam, our pool cleaner from Puddle Pool Services has done the best job ever for keeping the pool clean and the chemicals properly balanced! He has been such a relief for me after having done it personally for a while after I stopped my previous pool service! Great service and communications!
I recently bought a house with a pool and read many company reviews before deciding on Puddle Pool Services. Sam contacted me promptly and quickly scheduled the first service on my pool which had been neglected while on the market. He has done a great job providing me honest recommendations on how to maintain a healthy pool. Pricing is fair. 5 starts for Sam and his company.
Puddle Pools has been great to work with. Sam, in particular, has been so helpful. I purchased new equipment, and not only did they install it perfectly, they worked with me to understand how to operate it properly, and they held my hand through the first freeze of the season, making sure I had no problems through the winter.
Subhash was amazing! He quickly identified that my pool filter pressure gauge issue was caused by clogged pipes inside the pool pump and guided me step-by-step to fix it. His experience and knowledge saved me a lot of time and frustration. He is honest, professional, and truly committed to helping others without expecting anything in return. I really appreciate his support and highly recommend Subhash to anyone who needs help with pool equipment.
Puddle Pool Services maintains the pool at our boutique hotel in North Dallas 75240. Subhash provides the reliability and professionalism our guests expect. As facilities manager, I need pool service that works around our guest schedule and maintains crystal clear water daily. Subhash services our pool three times per week, communicates via text about chemical levels, and addresses any issues immediately. During the freeze last weekend, he called Thursday to coordinate continuous equipment operation. He understood we couldn't close the pool to guests, so he worked with our staff to maintain safe operations while protecting equipment from cold damage. The pool stayed open and all equipment survived. Commercial hospitality properties have unique requirements - guest safety, aesthetic standards, flexible scheduling. Subhash gets it. He also services properties in Addison, Farmers Branch, and surrounding North Dallas areas. If you manage a hotel, country club, or any commercial facility with a pool, I recommend Puddle Pool Services without hesitation.
Recently switched to Puddle Pool after my previous company raised their monthly service fee, and I’m really glad I did! Scheduling the appointment was super easy, and the technician kept me informed with an accurate arrival time. He did an excellent job cleaning the filter, thoroughly vacuumed the pool (there were a lot of leaves), and made sure the water was properly balanced before leaving. The pool looks great now, and the entire experience was smooth and professional. Highly recommend Puddle Pool for reliable and quality service!
Maddie did an excellent job servicing our pool! She was on time, professional, and very knowledgeable. Not only did she leave the pool sparkling clean, but she also quickly diagnosed and repaired our pump issue. It’s been running perfectly ever since!
