What a weekly visit covers
Weekly cleaning handles the water, the surfaces and the equipment in a single visit. The pool is skimmed, the walls and steps are brushed, the floor is vacuumed and the skimmer and pump baskets are emptied, so debris does not sit and break down in the water between visits. The filter is checked at the same time, and the water is tested and balanced before the technician leaves, with any adjustment made on the spot rather than left for the next visit.
Hard water adds a scale problem to watch
Water hardness varies across Bucks County depending on supply. The Bucks County Water and Sewer Authority's 2025 report for its New Hope system, which blends Delaware River surface water with groundwater from five wells in New Hope Borough, lists hardness ranging from 52.1 to 327 mg/L over the year, a level the authority's own scale classifies as very hard. Hard fill water leaves scale on tile lines, grout and equipment surfaces over time, which is why calcium and pH are part of the reading taken on every cleaning visit, not just chlorine and pH.
A long season with warm water to manage
NOAA's 1991 to 2020 normals for Philadelphia International Airport, the regional reference station, show a July average high of 87.8 F and a low of 69.6 F. Most Bucks County pools open around Memorial Day and stay in use until Labor Day or later, bounded by a freeze free window that runs from a median last spring freeze around April 5 to an average first fall freeze around November 8. Warm water through that stretch encourages algae and raises sanitizer demand faster than most owners expect, which is why a weekly cleaning schedule tends to hold up better than a biweekly one once summer settles in.
Every visit ends with a record
Technicians are CPO certified, uniformed and arrive in fully wrapped vehicles, so you know who is at your gate each week. Every cleaning visit ends with an E-Report showing the water readings and before and after photos, so you have a record of the pool even on the weeks you are not home to see it and a consistent weekly history to compare one visit against the next.
Bucks County Pool Cleaning: Frequently Asked Questions
Which Bucks County neighborhoods do you cover?
We look after pools across Bucks County, including Newtown, Yardley, Langhorne, Doylestown, Levittown and Warminster. The full list of areas is on our Bucks County page. If you do not see yours, get in touch and we will confirm.
Do I need to be home during the service?
No. As long as the technician can reach the pool and the equipment, service is usually carried out while nobody is home, which is how most regular customers prefer it. Arrange access to gates or side entrances in advance, and let us know about pets, alarms or anything else on the route to the pool.
Can cleaning fix a green pool, or is that a different job?
A green pool is an algae bloom, and clearing one is recovery work rather than routine cleaning. It usually needs shock treatment, extended filtration and repeat visits before normal service resumes, because killing algae and removing it from the water are two separate stages. Once the pool is clear, regular cleaning is what stops it happening again.
What should I do between professional visits?
Very little, which is the point of a service, but two habits help: empty the skimmer basket if it fills between visits, and run the pump long enough each day to turn the water over. If the water goes cloudy, loses its clarity or smells strongly of chlorine, tell your technician rather than waiting for the next visit.
Will I know what was done at each cleaning?
Yes. Every visit ends with a real time E-Report showing what was done, the chemical readings and before and after photos, so you can see the result without being there.
