Is Plano water harder than Dallas water?
Yes. Plano runs about 260 mg/L on the North Texas Municipal Water District, while Dallas runs about 140 to 160 mg/L on Dallas Water Utilities twenty miles away. Different utilities and reservoirs mean Plano pools face a heavier scale load than their Dallas neighbors.
