Residential Pool Care: What to Know About Water Systems 

Pool care seems simple when you’re first learning the ropes: fire up a pool vacuum, check the chlorine level, shock the pool when it’s cloudy and skim out unwanted items that are floating along water surfaces. Quick and easy, right? Unfortunately, keeping a swimming pool clean is a lot more demanding than just that.

Keeping your pool in great shape means routine water balancing, cleaning filtration systems, scrubbing surfaces, debris removal, flushing lines and cleaning systems inside and out. If left untreated this will only get worse, looking awful and causing damage. As if that weren’t enough, residue forming on steps will make them slippery. When there are clogs in your filters it becomes more difficult for water to pass through and this means your pool pump has to work harder. Added strain will shorten the lifespan of pumps meaning premature replacements and/or expensive repairs.
