Gates must be self closing and self latching with latches at least 4 feet above the ground. Private pools 24 inches or more deep need a building permit plus an electrical permit and must sit in the rear yard. Confirm the details with Buildings and Inspections before building or changing an enclosure.
Where should pool filter backwash go in Cincinnati?
Hamilton County Public Health says filter backwash must go to the sanitary sewer, never to a storm sewer or septic system. Sending full pool water to the sanitary sewer is a different matter and generally needs special permitting from MSD. Confirm your setup with MSD if you are unsure where your backwash line runs.
