The City describes this water as medium hard at about 120 mg/L as calcium carbonate, about 8.4 grains per imperial gallon (about 7.0 per US gallon). Is fill water harder in Hamilton well communities?
Much harder in most of them. Using the City's typical values, community well water runs 390 mg/L in Carlisle, 360 mg/L in Freelton and 500 mg/L in Greensville, but only 51 mg/L in Lynden. The City also estimates about 10,000 private wells and cisterns in Hamilton that these figures do not cover, so test fill water before balancing.
What are the pool fence rules in Hamilton?
Hamilton's Swimming Pool Enclosure By-law No. 16-184 (amended by By-law No. 22-059) covers any outdoor private pool able to hold more than 0.6 m of water, including hot tubs and landscape ponds; the enclosure needs a building permit. It must be at least 1.5 m high, pass no 100 mm sphere and stand at least 1.0 m from the inside pool wall. Gates need a self closing device plus a self latching device at least 1.35 m up on the inside. Water may not go in until the enclosure has final City approval, so confirm details with the City.

She always tells me of any changes to their schedule and are always on time. She has also repeatedly tried to teach me how to balance our tub myself but unfortunately I’m hopeless. I highly recommend this team for you pool and hot tub needs.

Professionals from start to finish. I've used a few different pool services over the years and there is no comparison to TJ and his team.
