Residential Pool Services for Knoxville Pool Owners
Puddle Pool Services delivers the highest-rated residential pool care in Knoxville, offering expert weekly maintenance and our signature “Happy Snappy” cleaning. Every backyard oasis receives consistent, professional attention to keep your water crystal clear, safe, and swim-ready all season long.
Expert Care for Your Knoxville Backyard Retreat
Owning a pool in East Tennessee should be about relaxation, not a second job. Whether your home is near Market Square, by Volunteer Landing, or close to the Tennessee River, your pool deserves professional care. Puddle Pool Services keeps your water crystal clear through the humid summers, addressing the unique local challenges, from heavy spring pollen to falling leaves near Ijams Nature Center. We maintain clean filters and use Family-Safe Chemicals, ensuring your kids and pets can swim safely without irritation.
Our Signature Maintenance Process
We don’t just “scoop and go.” At Puddle Pool Services, we use our proprietary Happy Snappy process. Our technicians take a “before” photo, perform a rigorous, detailed cleaning, and then send you a “Happy Snappy” “after” photo directly to your phone, giving you complete transparency and peace of mind with every visit.
Professional Standards: Understanding Your Water
To keep your pool truly healthy, Puddle Pool Services goes beyond basic chlorine. Our private pool technicians are trained in advanced water chemistry, ensuring your water stays balanced, your equipment is protected, and your investment lasts for years to come.
Technical Terms You Should Know
- Cyanuric Acid (CYA): Think of this as "sunscreen" for your chlorine. It prevents the sun from burning off your sanitizer too quickly.
- LSI Balancing: The Langelier Saturation Index (LSI) is a formula we use to ensure your water is neither corrosive to your pipes nor scaling on your tiles.
- Algaecide: A preventative treatment used to stop algae blooms before they turn your water green.
Solving Knoxville’s Unique Pool Problems
If your home is near the Great Smoky Mountains, you likely face heavy organic debris, which can create “If/Then” water chemistry challenges. High phosphate levels from decaying leaves and local runoff feed algae growth. When phosphate levels exceed 200 ppb, Puddle Pool Services applies a specialized phosphate remover, starving algae of its food source and keeping your water crystal clear, even during a Knoxville heatwave.

Knoxville Residential Pool Services: Frequently Asked Questions
How hard is Knoxville water for pools?
Knoxville Utilities Board's 2025 Water Quality Report lists average hardness of 94 ppm, calcium of 26 ppm, alkalinity of 75 ppm and pH of 7.3. KUB describes its water as moderately hard (61 to 120 mg/L as calcium carbonate). Homes on other Knox County utility districts or private wells may differ.
What are the pool fence rules in Knoxville?
Knoxville City Code Sec. 6-55 adopts the 2024 International Swimming Pool and Spa Code as the city pool and spa code. The ISPSC base text requires a barrier at least 48 inches high with self closing and self latching gates. Confirm the requirements for your property with the City before building.
Which Knoxville neighborhoods do you cover?
We look after pools across Knoxville, including Farragut, Hardin Valley, Wexford Downs & Cedar Bluff, West Emory & Bluegrass, Bearden & Sequoyah Hills and West Hills. The full list of areas is on our Knoxville page. If you do not see yours, get in touch and we will confirm.
Do you offer one time deep cleans as well as regular service?
Yes. There are options for routine service and for deep cleans, so you can get a neglected pool back on track or keep a healthy one that way.
Can service continue year round?
Yes. Service can run through the whole year, adjusted to the season, so the pool stays protected even when it is not being used much.
I had a frustrating experience at first because the initial technician did not complete the work he was supposed to do and wasn’t honest about what had been done. That was very disappointing. However, Puddle Pools made it right by sending Tony out to my house. Tony was outstanding. He took the time to thoroughly inspect everything, explained what needed to be fixed, and resolved all of the issues professionally. It was obvious that he cared about doing the job correctly and making sure I was satisfied before he left. While my experience didn’t start off well, I really appreciate that the company stood behind their service and sent someone as knowledgeable and dedicated as Tony. He completely turned the experience around. If you work with Puddle Pools, ask for Tony—you’ll be in great hands.
Highly recommend this company, they replaced our liner and it looks amazing! Very responsive to any questions and quality of work was outstanding!
I wish I could give this company 10 stars. I called around to probably 10+ companies in the Knoxville area and Jake from Puddle Pools was the only person to not only call back but also take time to speak to me on more than one occasion, listen to what the issue is we're dealing with and explain what they can/ can't do. While he cannot help me with my specific request, he's taken time out of his day to assist me with getting in contact with someone / companies who can help. A+ customer service as a company and just as a normal human being. Thank you!
Great service! Fast, friendly, and very helpful. I knew nothing about the hot tub that came with our house, but they helped me every step of the way and gave great resources to help me understand how to care for and operate the hot tub.

I could not be more pleased with the attention we received from Puddle Pool Services. Morgan followed through on everything she promised in a timely manner and stayed in communication the whole time. We will be using them from now on for everything regarding our pool.
Jake was GREAT. He identified the issue and fixed it with ease! He also gave some much needed future advice that I will be using his services for. I definitely recommend using puddle pool services👌🏼
This was my first experience with a pool service. My pool cover had torn, and to say it was a mess is an understatement. Think stump-water with tadpoles as big as carp!! From the initial visit, the crew was nothing short of professional. Very communicative with the plan. They are knowledgable, punctual, hardworking and, as already mentioned, professional and communicative. They educated me along the way and offered many cost saving suggestions along with leaving me with care instructions. I highly recommend Puddle for all your pool needs. My pool is full, sparkling clean water and no tadpoles!!
They did a great job. They were consistent, communicative and easy to work with. They finished the job in a timely manner. We are very pleased. We would recommend Puddle Pools to anyone. Thank you Puddle Pools!
