- Thorough Cleaning: We begin by removing all debris from your pool, including leaves, dirt and other contaminants, ensuring the water is clean before closing.
- Water Chemistry Balancing: Proper water balance is critical even during the off-season. We adjust pH, alkalinity and calcium hardness to prevent staining and scaling.
- Lowering Water Level: The water level is lowered to the appropriate winterization height, protecting skimmers and preventing water from freezing into solid masses against pool walls.
- Blowing Out Lines: This crucial step, known as blowing out lines, involves using a powerful air compressor to remove all water from your pool's plumbing lines, including skimmer lines, return lines, and cleaner lines. This prevents freeze damage to pipes and equipment.
- Antifreeze Application: After blowing out lines, non-toxic pool-grade antifreeze is added to ensure any residual water in the plumbing does not freeze and expand, offering complete plumbing protection. This is vital for pipes that cannot be completely drained.
