Port St. Lucie Property Maintenance Code Sec. 41.09 requires private pools, hot tubs and spas holding more than 24 inches of water to be completely surrounded by a barrier at least 48 inches high, measured on the side away from the pool. Gates and doors must self close and self latch. An existing enclosure may not be changed in a way that makes it less effective.
