Spring Pool Care: What to Do Before Cannonballing In 

When opening your swimming pool for use during the spring months it is important to do a thorough assessment before turning anything back on. This includes inspecting the pool itself as well as the surrounding pool area. There isn’t much point in applying tons of chemicals and shock treatments if the pool pump and filter aren’t working. Trying to clean standing water is just a vicious cycle that you can’t win. A proper pool opening starts with undoing everything that was done on closing. Common closing tasks include winterizing plugs and dropping the water level.
