Keeping your pool running smoothly takes a lot more than a skimming every now and then.

Commercial Pool Services in West Vancouver, BC

West Vancouver is an incredibly desirable area, so it is no wonder that more and more people are calling this little slice of heaven home and that include businesses. In a competitive environment, it is important for a small business to set themselves apart and swimming pools can help to do just that. Professional West Vancouver commercial pool services create clean swim spaces for your guests, customers, members and visitors.

Pool owners and building managers are responsible for everyone who steps inside their water systems. This means being liable for any issues that might occur and this is a big concern for sole proprietorships, small businesses and larger companies as well. When you want to improve the visuals for your pool and spa, as well as create sanitary swim spaces, and cut down on running costs and the need for premature repairs and replacements, just call Puddle.

Commercial Pool Care: Cleaning & Maintenance for a Wide Range of Pool Types

A wellness centre is not the only business structure that revolves around having a pool. A public pool area is a great way to cool off in summer, while finishing a spa day in a hot tub can be relaxing. Clean and inviting swim spaces can draw in guests visiting from out of town, helping to keep rooms full and hotels successful. When you want to keep customers happy and water systems running smoothly, a multi-step approach is the best way to preserve water condition, function and appearance.

Circulation and filtration systems are often overlooked during regular pool maintenance but these are the unsung heroes of any water system. A bit of debris is common enough in outdoor pool areas, with leaves, sticks, seed pods and more, all floating along water surfaces. Much of these will be caught up in skimmer baskets but others will rot and break apart, creating blockages and clogs. These blockages make water systems work harder, using more energy and increasing the wear and tear on the pool pump, motor and other key mechanisms. Prolonged clogs can have a negative impact on utility bills and running costs.

Automatic pool cleaners are designed to pick up debris from the bottom of the pool but these are not enough to clean out the angles of a pool system, leaving untouched areas for bacteria to thrive. Pool vacuums cannot clean residue from walls or tight angles, or around staircases. If chemicals are not being circulated and residue is not cleaned away, it can present the risk of recreational water illness (RWIs) which are bad for business and can lead to a bad reputation.

Puddle Pool Services: Expert Hotel Pool Care

In a high traffic, high use environment, standard pool cleaning won’t get the right results. By hiring a professional pool service, hotels can rest easy knowing that their water systems are in good hands. Anyone can start a pool cleaning company but few people have as good of a reputation as Puddle Pools does! Highly experienced technicians clean commercial swimming pools with custom treatment plans that cater to the unique needs of your swim spaces.

Instead of a one-size-fits-all approach, Puddle technicians create customized treatment plans designed to meet the needs of your unique swim space. If once weekly cleanings aren't enough to maintain water balance, Puddle offers cleanings up to fives times per week.

Each member of the team is covered through general liability insurance and additional coverage to provide peace of mind, as well as excellent results. Our Puddle crews are able to clean and improve the output of pools, hot tubs and even water features, on a regular basis or as a service call or seasonal treatment.

West Vancouver Commercial Pool Services: Frequently Asked Questions

Why does my West Vancouver neighbourhood affect pool water balance?

Eagle Lake water serves areas below the Upper Levels Highway west of 29th Street and above the Upper Levels Highway east to the Chartwell neighbourhood, while Montizambert Creek serves Sunset Highlands north of Horseshoe Bay. Source alkalinity there is only 2.5 to 4.5 mg/L (Eagle Lake) and 2.1 to 2.5 mg/L (Montizambert), against about 21 mg/L for treated Metro Vancouver water. Pools filled in these areas need more calcium hardness and alkalinity adjustment than elsewhere in the District.

What are the pool fence rules in West Vancouver?

West Vancouver Building Bylaw No. 5340, Part 21, requires a Pool Permit to build or structurally repair a pool deeper than 0.6 m, including in ground pools, spas and hot tubs. The fence must be at least 1.2 m high with no footholds or grips and no openings over 100 mm. Gates must be self closing and self latching with the latch on the pool side. Confirm the details for your property with the District before building.

Where can I drain my pool or hot tub in West Vancouver?

The District says draining pools and hot tubs into a watercourse system is strictly prohibited, because storm drains here discharge to creeks. Pool, hot tub and other chlorinated water should go to the sanitary sewer within the Schedule E limits of Sewerage and Drainage Regulation Bylaw 5263 (for example pH 5.5 to 10.5). The District also advises against draining onto lawns because of flooding risk to neighbours. Building Bylaw 5340 also requires pool drains to connect to the sanitary sewer, so confirm with the District before draining.

Do you service commercial hot tubs and spas too?

Yes. Commercial spas see heavy use in a small volume of hot water, so chemistry changes quickly and needs close attention. They can be serviced alongside the pool on the same plan.

How do we know what was done on each visit?

Every visit ends with an E-Report showing what was done, the water readings and photos, so managers have a record without having to be on site.

Amazing pool company. I’ve had some bad POOL SERVICES in the past. Very reliable. They do a great job servicing your pool and are available in any emergency situation I would highly recommend

    a ztarknap ★★★★★

Very helpful and efficient service. They did a change out of the sand for our sand filter, and even when they had to do a bit extra labour as not everything was as expected with the inside of the filter chamber, we were still invoiced the original quoted amount which was really decent! Mike and Ciara were pleasant and cheerful to deal with, and gave helpful advice to get our cloudy pool water back to sparkling. Really great team!

Gabriel has by far given us the best pool service. Very punctual and respectful. We have been told many times that we have a troubled pool with algae growing between services. Ever since Puddle Pool Services started servicing us in our house in West Vancouver - we have a beautiful pool with no issues!
