What are the pool fence rules in Maple Ridge?
Under Maple Ridge Building Bylaw No. 8097-2026, a pool deeper than 0.45 m or larger than 14 m2 must be enclosed by a permanent fence or barrier at least 1,200 mm high with no openings over 100 mm, whether the pool is full or empty. Gates must be self closing and self latching and return to a locked position; snow fencing or construction fencing is not allowed.
