Our services
Pools at condominiums, apartments and facilities see heavier use than a backyard pool, so service is built around more frequent testing and closer attention to the equipment.
Hot tubs are used all year, so they need care all year. Service covers the water and the filters and checks the jets, pumps and heater, and the water also needs draining and refilling from time to time, since dissolved solids build up and cannot be filtered out.
Weekly service through the summer covers the water, the surfaces and the equipment in one visit: skimming, brushing the walls and steps, vacuuming the floor, emptying the skimmer and pump baskets, checking the filter and testing and balancing the water.
Fall closing protects the pool and its equipment through the freeze: balancing the water for winter, lowering the level, blowing out and plugging the lines, draining and protecting the equipment and fitting the cover.
An inspection looks at the pool, its equipment and its water before you buy a home or when you want to know where things stand.
If the water level keeps dropping faster than evaporation explains, drops even with the pump off or you are adding water every few days, leak detection uses pressure testing on the plumbing lines and dye testing at fittings, lights, skimmers and returns to find where water is escaping, without digging.
Spring opening gets the pool from winter to swim ready: removing and cleaning the cover, reconnecting and starting the pump, filter and heater, clearing out debris, brushing and vacuuming, and testing and balancing the water for the season.
Backyard pools get one local team for the whole year, from spring opening and weekly cleaning to fall closing.
Seasonal maintenance keeps the equipment and the water in shape between the big jobs, with regular checks of the pump, filter and heater and the chemistry adjusted as the weather changes.
Fountains, waterfalls and other water features need the same attention to water quality and circulation as a pool, on a regular schedule so the water stays clear and the pumps keep running.
After every visit
Before we leave, you get a report with photos of your pool, the chemical readings we took and a checklist of everything we did. No guessing what happened while you were at work.

Environment Canada’s 1991 to 2020 normals for the Oshawa station show a July average high of 25.7 C and a January average low of minus 8.9 C. Pools here are opened in spring and closed in fall, and both visits matter because the equipment has to get through months below freezing.
Any water left in the lines, pump, filter or heater can freeze and crack them over the winter, which is why a proper closing blows out and plugs the lines and drains and protects the equipment before the first hard frosts.
Oshawa, Whitby, Ajax and Pickering share one Durham Region drinking water system, which draws from Lake Ontario through the Oshawa Water Supply Plant. Calcium and pH are tested on every visit so the water stays balanced.
Oshawa’s Pool Enclosure By-law 79-2006 requires a permit for any pool deeper than 0.6 metres and a permanent enclosure at least 1.5 metres high. Whitby, Ajax and Pickering have their own by-laws, so check with your town before the season.

Just had a visit from George from Puddle Pool Services and was so grateful for his approach, communication and suggestions for maintenance. It wasn't a easy job in accessing the panel and he was gracious in taking the necessary steps and putting everything back in place. The next day check in to make sure everything is working well is just a superior customer service. Thank you again.
