Pool Inspections in North York, ON
Home inspections are common practice when purchasing a house, but what about buying a home with a pool? The average home inspector doesn’t have adequate experience to be able to spot issues with basins, liners and internal water systems. Swimming pools are complex systems with many moving parts, each of which is just as important as the last. Overlooking one aspect of your water system will have a ripple effect, leading to the need for costly repairs and replacements. North York pool inspections assess pools from top to bottom, pointing out existing issues and potential problems for valuable insight.
The most common times to call a pool inspection are when buying or selling a home, or if you begin to notice issues with your current swim space. If heaters or pool pumps start to fail or water levels begin to drop without explanation, it is a good idea to call in professional inspection services. The longer that problems are allowed to persist, the worse they become so it is always a good idea to call an expert at the first sign of a struggle.
The Perks of Having An Expert Inspect Your Pool
Clean pool water can paint a pretty picture but are you getting a full view of functionality? Some pool inspections are used for the purposes of insurance and permitting but they don’t always look at whether or not pool systems work. The goal of a level I pool inspection is to test functions and assess the condition of surfaces for a full view of condition.
As a pool owner or potential home buyers, knowing whether or not a pool is in good, working order is incredibly important. A pool inspection will point out existing issues, as well as potential ones. This might be something as straight forward as a small tear in a vinyl liner or an issue with a surrounding pool deck.
In addition to visual assessments, Puddle swimming pool inspections test internal water systems. By testing heaters, pool pumps, return lines and other areas pool inspectors provide peace of mind and valuable insight into the condition of pool equipment. When dealing with a swimming pool, surrounding areas are just as important as basins themselves. If diving boards, slides, or even railings and ladders are not properly grounded, they present serious safety issues. Don’t take a risk when you can have a local technician perform your pool inspection services.

North York Pool Inspections: Frequently Asked Questions
What pool enclosure rules apply in North York?
North York follows the City of Toronto Municipal Code Chapter 447, which requires a pool enclosure permit and a minimum enclosure height of 1.2 m for a pool on a single residential property. Gates must be self closing and self latching, and a hot tub with a locked, structurally adequate cover is exempt. Confirm details with the City before building.
Which North York neighborhoods do you cover?
We look after pools across North York, including Willowdale, Don Mills, York Mills, Bayview Village, Newtonbrook and Bathurst Manor. The full list of areas is on our North York page. If you do not see yours, get in touch and we will confirm.
What affects the cost of a pool inspection?
The size and type of pool, whether a spa or hot tub is included and the equipment on site all affect the price. Ask for a quote for your property and we will tell you exactly what is included. (Where the local franchise publishes inspection pricing, the local version of this answer quotes it exactly.)
Will an inspection find leaks?
An inspection includes checks for signs of leaks, such as water loss, wet areas and equipment issues. If a leak is suspected, dedicated leak detection testing confirms it and pinpoints the source.
When should I get a pool inspection?
The most common times are when buying a home with a pool, when selling one and when something seems wrong with the pool or its equipment. A buyer learns what they are taking on, a seller can deal with issues before they become negotiating points and an owner can catch small problems before they turn into replacements.
Kalana and team are the best always on time and diligent and take care of our opening maintenance and closing every year! Thank you Kalana
Kalana provided exceptional service while replacing my pool liner, demonstrating professionalism and expertise throughout the process. I highly recommend him for anyone needing pool liner replacement.
Great group very professional and knowledgeable. Always leave the pool sparkling clean and always remove any garbage. Would highly recommend Kalana and his team.
I had been searching for a reliable pool company to maintain our pool and indoor sauna for quite some time, as previous companies failed to meet our needs—some excelled in outdoor services while others focused on indoor work. Fortunately, a close friend recommended Puddle Pool Services. Kalana, the manager, is incredibly professional and clearly knows his craft. They maintain a high standard of cleanliness, and I've never seen any mess left after their work is completed. I highly recommend them!
Kalana and his team serviced our hot tub. They arrived on time and performed the work without delay. I will definitely be contacting them again.
These folks go above and beyond when it comes to anything in my back yard oasis. I cannot rave enough about the amazing services they provide as well as they do what they say which is not the norm these days. This is going to be my second season using this awesome company and tbh they are Toronto's best kept secret as to pool/hot tube services. Keep up the amazing work and thank you for always being there and telling it like it is whether it benefits you or not.....constantly exceeding expectations!
